Boating Industry Canada featured EcoMarine's development of the OmniBot ROV in a report by Mathew Channer.

The article explored the role of underwater cleaning and collection in managing vessel-hull biofouling. That is the practical problem behind OmniBot: giving marine service teams a remotely operated platform that can move through water and carry cleaning and inspection tools along submerged surfaces.

For EcoMarine, propulsion is part of the working system. EP1 supports both maneuvering and thrust-based surface attachment, while tracks move the tools across the work area.
